Sustainable Food And Farming

Here at “The Get Healthy Hub” we believe that OUR health is directly related to the health of the plants and animals that we eat.

“I have had the good fortune to see how my articles have directly benefited some farmers and helped build markets for their products in a way that preserves land from development. That makes me a hopeless optimist.”-Michael Pollan

The healthiest plants and animals are not Genetically Modified, nor do they come from Factory or Industrial Farms.

“Corn is an efficient way to get energy calories off the land and soybeans are an efficient way of getting protein off the land, so we’ve designed a food system that produces a lot of cheap corn and soybeans resulting in a lot of cheap fast food.”-Michael Pollan

Sustainable Food And Farming

Sustainable Food And Farming: It is beneficial for those who are interested in optimal health!

It is my hope that “The Get Healthy Hub” will get more and more people in touch with their local farmer.  If the majority of the United States would value the small farmer MORE and value large food corporations AND  pharmaceutical companies LESS our Healthcare challenge would greatly diminish.

“For at the same time many people seem eager to extend the circle of our moral consideration to animals, in our factory farms and laboratories we are inflicting more suffering on more animals than at any time in history.”-Michael Pollan

Here at “The Get Healthy Hub” we value the small farmer and their impact on our health.  We believe that we need to greatly value the soil, the plants that grow from that soil, and the animals that consume the grass and plants from that soil.

Without healthy soil, healthy plants, and healthy animals, OUR health will continue to be in demise!

This is why we prioritize sustainable food and farming.
